NCC Ekta Cup KIYC crush GFA 7-1 in Group D opener

IMPHAL, May 23 : KIYC, Kshetrigao came out all guns blazing to devastate GFA, Palace Compound by 7-1 goals this morning in the Group D opening match of the ongoing NCC Ekta Cup for U-17 boys here at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.
I Arjun (7’, 64’) scored two goals to set up the huge win for KIYC while Washim Khan (22’), Aship Ali (23’), H Rahish (40’), S Danish (50’), and I Thoithoiba (67’) contributed a goal apiece.
The consolation goal for GFA was scored by S Ashif three minutes into the stoppage time (90+3’).
In the Group A match staged later in the afternoon, Pajalei Panmei (21’, 57’) scored twice to earn Imphal Football Academy (IFA), Sanakeithel a 2-0 win over KAFA, Kontha Ahallup.
Meanwhile in the Group B match staged later in the day, KFA, Laipham Khunou thumped Pandam FF, Charangpat by 3-1 goals courtesy of goals coming from M Suraj (33’, 53’) and S Ayangba (36’). The lone goal for Pandam FF was scored by Competeson in the 23rd minute.
