5th MNCA Women’s Senior One Day Trophy Viviene, Loidangton and Priyanshee dazzle as SHADOW overwhelm PTRC by 217 runs

IMPHAL, May 23 : L Viviene and Th Loidangton scored sublime centuries before Priyanshee picked six as SHADOW crushed PTRC by 217 runs for the second straight Group B win in the 5th MNCA Women’s Senior One Day Trophy 2025-26.
Asked to bat first, SHADOW raised a commanding total of 285 runs for the loss of 1 wicket in the allotted 35 overs as Viviene Laishram scored an unbeaten 141 off 104 balls and Loidangton struck 100 off 108 balls.
Priyanshee Hanglem then ran through the PTRC line up and set up their collapse at 68 runs within 34.4 overs to seal the emphatic win.
SHADOW had a flourishing start to their innings with Loidangton and Viviene forging 271 runs for the first wicket until Laishram Benika of PTRC broke their partnership in the second delivery of the 34th over.
Loidangton’s knock included 10 fours and 1 six while Viviene clobbered 19 fours and 1 six en route to her unbeaten 141.
In reply, PTRC top order crumbled like sand before Thokchom Dimple (11 off 43 balls) and Laitonjam Angelina (11 not out off 36 balls) forged the highest 20-run partnership for the third wicket.
With Priyanshee striking regularly with the assistance of four other bowlers, PTRC slumped at 68 with Dimple and Angelina emerging as the only double digit run getters for the team.
Priyanshee returned with the best bowling figures of 6/9 in her spell of 7 overs as Thoudam Mangalsana (1/13), M Chingkheileima (1/9), Kebriya Sapam (1/2) and Sagatpam Henthoibi (1/9) chipped in with a wicket apiece.
Priyanshee was eventually named Player of the match.
