NCC Ekta Cup : SUFA, East Kangleipak FA win

IMPHAL, May 24 : Sagolband United FA and East Kangleipak FA win as MUFA and NEROCA FC shared spoils in today’s matches of the NCC Ekta Cup at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.
In a Group C match staged in the morning, Namsinlung (8’, 19’) scored twice for MUFA but his effort went in vain as Warish (18’) and Muskan (53’) netted a goal apiece to salvage a point for NEROCA FC.
In the Group D encounter staged from 1 pm, M Modun scored a brace (3’, 7’) to put Golden FA ahead but S Drunao pulled back one goal for East Kangleipak FA in the 11th minute before his teammate N Jackson scored a hattrick (41’, 52’, 86’) and sealed the 4-2 comeback win for the team.
In the Group A encounter staged later in the day, Rohit Laishram (23’), Jonathan K (45’), Bicky H (82’) and Abinash Kh (83’) scored to help Sagolband United FA rout IFA 4-0.
