48th Junior State Level Handball Tournament YLK vs KVWA in both the boys and girls’ title clashes

IMPHAL, May 24 : YLK, Chingarel Tejpur and KVWA , Mayang Imphal will compete in both the title clashes of the 48th Junior State Level Handball Tournament being hosted by KVWA under the aegis of the Manipur Handball Association.
Boys Competition
In the boys’ semi-final matches staged today, YLK, Chingarel knocked out OYO, Kongpal by 26-18 goals while KVWA notched up a 28-16 win over SSC, Khurai.
N Adison led the scoring for YLK today by scoring 13 goals alone as N Albert (4), K Satish (3), L Hemba (3), K Krinibash (2) and Y Chinglensana (1) contributed another 13 goals.
For OYO, Ksh Yaithoiba (5), Ksh Premchandra (4), RK Denjit (3), N Lanjingba (3), Th Lucky (2) and Ksh Alvis (1) were on target.
Meanwhile, A Premson (8), S Arun (5), Sh Roshan (4) and Ch Brekshi (3) led the KVWA scoring in the team’s 28-16 win as H Mangal and A Yaikhomba added two goals apiece and A Bikash, W Haridash, NK Thoibi and W Gingson added a goal apiece.
For SSC, S Raju (7), Ksh Kapil (3), W Chingkheinganba (2), Basker (2), L Goutam (1) and Erison (1) found the target.
Girls Competition
KVWA crushed OYO by 15-3 goals courtesy of goals thanks to Debarani, who netted five goals alone. Thoicha and Tomthinganbi added two goals apiece for the team as Likla, Naobi, Bidyalaxmi, Mathoi, Ruparani, and Jandabi scored a goal apiece. On the other hand, Kamyalini (2) and Triveniya (1) were on target for the Kongpal team.
In the other semi-final clash, L Nomika scored 12 goals and N Selina and N Aliya scored 3 goals apiece to fire YLK 20-9 past SSC, Khurai. N Pitalika and N Sophiya also contributed a goal apiece for YLK as Veletica (4), Helena (2), Taibangsatpi (2) and Veronica (1) scored for SSC.
