Junior State Handball Tourney KVWA seal both the boys and girls’ crowns

IMPHAL, May 25 : Hosts KVWA, Mayang Imphal emerged as both the boys and girls’ champions in the 48th Junior State Level Handball Tournament 2026 by defeating YLK boys and girls today.
KVWA sealed the boys’ title by defeating YLK 9-5 in the final today. A Premson led the scoring for KVWA by netting 4 goals as Arun netted two and Manichandra, Roshan and Brekshi scored one goal apiece. For YLK, Hemba scored thrice as Adison and Johnson contributed a goal apiece.
Meanwhile in the girls’ final, KVWA sealed a 15-12 win over YLK thanks to four goals each from Th Leklu and N Jaybala, three goals from T Jennymax, 2 goals from L Bidyaluxmi and one goal apiece from H Naobi and Debarani.
For YLK, L Nomika (5) and N Selina (4) contributed nine goals as N Pitalika (2) and N Levia (1) shared 3 goals.
