MAYOL seeks support

IMPHAL, May 25: The Manipur Youth League (MAYOL) has urged the public, student organisations and civil bodies to join its campaign "Politics: Vote for National Regeneration".
In a statement, MAYOL said the campaign was launched to spread awareness and educate people on the importance of voting rights, and encourage people, especially Gen-Z to join politics.
Only politics can bring about changes people desire. All the issues Manipur is facing at current is a result of people ignoring politics and staying disconnected with it, MAYOL.
Government governs the State and is responsible for the welfare of the people and bringing development. And, politics is what that brings about. Unless people become conscious about this and join politics actively, the Government they desire may never come, MAYOL said.
To elect a Government that truly serves the people, the people must join politics and ensure elections are conducted right, MAYOL said.
The people, especially the voters must cast their votes fairly and without favour and intimidation. Voters must not seek money, aid and assistance in exchange for rights (votes), MAYOL said, urging people to support its campaign.
