SIR meeting and training programme conducted

KANGPOKPI, May 25 (DIO): The Kangpokpi District Administration on Monday conducted the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) Phase-III meeting under the direction of the Election Commission of India at the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex, Kangpokpi.
Kangpokpi district comprises three Assembly Constituencies namely 46-Saikul, 50-Kangpokpi and 51-Saitu.
As part of the programme, training sessions for Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs/ACROs) and election officials were conducted on May 23 by master trainers. The training focused on revision procedures, electoral responsibilities and guidelines related to the Special Intensive Revision process.
Subsequently, training programmes for Booth Level Supervisors (BLSs) and Booth Level Officers (BLOs) were also conducted on Monday to strengthen preparedness at the grassroots level. Officials who were unable to attend the sessions physically were imparted training through video conferencing to ensure wider participation and effective dissemination of guidelines. Altogether, more than 70 officials and staff participated in the training programme. The initiative aimed at enhancing the knowledge and capacity of election functionaries for ensuring efficient, transparent and smooth conduct of electoral processes in the district.
