4th MNCA Men’s U19 One Day Trophy 2025-26 N Bisal, O Rodick bowl Model Club to 9-wicket win

IMPHAL, May 27 : N Bisal and O Rodick shared 9 wickets to help Model Club register an easy 9 wicket win over CCK, Khongman in a Group A match of the ongoing 4th MNCA Men’s U19 One Day Trophy 2025-26 at Khangabok Cherapur Public Ground today.
Fresh off from a 2-wicket win over SCCC, Singjamei, Model Club rode on Bisal (5/39 in 5 overs) and Rodick Oinam (4/9 in 2.2 overs) to dismantle toss winners CCK for 93 runs within 15.2 overs. They then eased to the winning 96 in just 8.2 overs with 9 wickets left to spare thanks to Biyon Naorem’s unbeaten 49 off 21 balls filled with 10 fours and 1 six.
Ksh Bikramjit 36 and Th Nelson 21 were the only double digit run getters for CCK in the first innings that also saw Biyon claiming a wicket for Model Club.
In reply, Model lost I Tonton on 10 to Th Dinesh before Biyon and S Benjohn 12 not out off 18 balls finished off the chase in style.
Bisal who enjoyed a fifer was deservedly named player of the match.
Blue Hawk open Group B winning account
Elsewhere at Moijing Public Ground, Blue Hawk, Khurai chased down a target of 157 runs in 38.5 overs with 2 wickets left to spare against FORCE, Kshetrigao.
FORCE elected to bat first but were dismissed for 156 in 31.4 overs despite Syed Fayaz 45 and Zaheer 38 making notable contributions as Kh Nongdamba (4/48 in 7 overs), M Romesh (3/24 in 6.4 overs) and A Dhitaraj (2/18) combined well for Blue Hawk.
In reply, M Romesh who came in at number 4, anchored with an unbeaten 74 off 132 balls to steer Blue Hawk to the target in 38.5 overs despite Moinam Hafizuddin (3/15) and Ziad Khan (2/28) doing their best to disrupt the chase.
M Romesh, who shone with both the bat and the ball, was adjudged player of the match.
Rare 106 run tie for YUCC and KSDO
The day also saw YUCC, Kwakeithel Moirangpurel and KSDO, Kyamgei playing out a 106-run tie at Khudeiband Lampak.
YUCC opted to bat first but were dismissed for 106 runs in 26.3 overs before bundling out KSDO for the same score in 25.4 overs.
N Jamesbond 27 and Bidyashor 20 led the YUCC scoring today in the first innings that saw Md Gunbas (4/22), Kh Abu Sufiyan (3/17) and Kh Md Soheb (2/12) sharing 9 wickets for KSDO.
In reply, Md Zuneid topscored with 25 before Potshangbam Narendra put an end to the chase by completing his fifer (5/31 in 4.4 overs) by bowling out Md Shadik Israak Hussain on a 3-ball duck.
N Jamesbond (3/23) and L Joychand (2/23) also shared 5 wickets to help YUCC salvage a point.
TCMDC beat PTRC for first Group D win
The day also witnessed TCMDC, Thongju beat PTRC by 3 wickets for their first Group D win at Model Hr Sec and Oriental College ground.
TCMDC bundled out PTRC for 127 runs in 30.3 overs riding on Yumnam Tomthinnganba (3/17) and Vishonath Laishram (3/30) and fought their way to the winning 130/7 in 31.4 overs thanks to a crucial half century knock from Vishonath (68 off 65 balls; 8 fours and 2 sixes).
Vishonath was eventually adjudged player of the match for his allround feat.
