5th MNCA Senior Women’s One Day Trophy PTCC devastate Al-Ameen by 10 wickets

IMPHAL, May 27 : PTCC, Patsoi made the easy work of Al-Ameen for the first Group A win in two matches of the  ongoing 5th MNCA Senior Women’s One Day Trophy at Kongba Dhobi Lampak today.
Having suffered an 8 wicket loss to THAU in their league opener, PTCC produced a superior bowling performance to dismiss Al-Ameen, Lilong for 37 runs in 22 overs and cruised to the target in just 5.1 overs.
None of the Al-Ameen batters were able to register a double digit score today with Khumbongmayum Bidyarani (3/8 in 4 overs) and Laishram Linthoingambi (2/0 in 1 over) leading the incisive and economical PTCC bowling performance.
Niruka (1/7), Bandana (1/10), K Sayatombi (1/6) and H Sijapiyari (1/6) also chipped in with a wicket apiece for PTCC before the first wicket stand between Koijam Ranjita 20 off 22 balls and Lourembam Prena 10 off 9 balls proved more than enough for the team to seal the victory.
Bidyarani, who shone with a three wicket haul, was eventually adjudged player of the match.
Elsewhere at THAU Ground, Thangmeiband, TCMDC, Thongju II Pechu Lampak crushed YPHUC, Lalambung by 8 wickets for their first Group B victory in three matches.
TCMDC bundled out toss winners YPHUC for 87 runs in 25 overs riding on Ningthoisana Thoudam (3/14), Laishram Geetanjali (2/7) and Wahengbam Malem (2/11)   and cruised to the winning 89/2 in 13.5 overs thanks to sensible knocks from Athokpam Tennish Devi (37 off 41 balls) and Anoubam Inao (28 off 39 balls).
