5th MNCA U14 Boys One Day Trophy RCA hammer SHADOW by 7 wickets to enter final

IMPHAL, May 27 : RCA, Lilong overwhelmed SHADOW, Thangmeiband by 7 wickets to advance to the final of the 5th MNCA U14 Boys One Day Trophy today at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
SHADOW opted to bat first but faltered badly before going down for a paltry total of 51 runs in 13.4 overs as RCA bowlers were unstoppable today. RCA then eased to the target in just 8.3 overs with 7 wickets left to spare.
SHADOW faced a torrid time facing the excellent bowling performances and only RK Tomthinnganba 18 off 20 balls and Kh Hemraj 11 off 20 balls emerged the double digit run getters as Heibokmayum Albaz (4/13 in 4 overs), Farhan Ahmed (4/9 in 3.4 overs) and Heibokmayum Lucky Ahmed (2/23) wreaked havoc across their line up.
In reply, Syed Sami Ul (11 not out off 17 balls) sealed the victory after raising 41 runs together for the first wicket with Afiq Hussain who was undone by RK Tomthinnganba on a 24-ball 27.
Tomthinnganba also went on to bowl out Merai Syed Farhan Ali on a 6-ball duck to return with the best bowling figures of 2/21 for SHADOW.
Heibokmayum Albaz was deservedly named player of the match.
PTRC will play KSDO in the other semi-final match on May 29 at the same venue.
