Found hung to death

IMPHAL, May 27: A 21-year-old girl was found hung to death inside her room at Singjamei Chingamakha Ningthoujam Leikai, Imphal West under Singjamei police station today.
Sources said that Sanasam Supriya (21) d/o Singhajit of Singjamei Chingamakha Ningthoujam Leikai was hung to death in her own room by family members today at around 12.45 am.
Sources said that a suicide note was found near the dead body inside the room, said sources
Soon after, a team from Singjamei police station rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area.
Later the body was taken down after a team of mobile forensic experts carried out an inquest of the dead body and its surrounding area. After the inquest, the body was taken to RIMS morgue.
Post mortem of the body was conducted this afternoon at RIMS morgue in the presence of a Magistrate with full video coverage.
Later the body was handed over to family members.
Singjamei police have registered a U/D case under section 194 BNS for investigation, said the sources.
