Arms recovered

IMPHAL, May 27 : Security forces recovered a large cache of arms, ammunition and explosives from Hengkot Village in Churachandpur yesterday.
The seized items, according to police, include one MK-II rifle with magazine, one AK-47 rifle with two magazines, one .303 rifle with magazine, one 12 bore rifle, one country made .22 rifle with magazine, one country made 12 bore rifle, one country made .22 sniper rifle, two SBML guns, one SBBL gun, 12 bore empty cartridges, three 12 bore live rounds, five IEDs, one country made lathode launcher, two wireless handsets, two magazine pouches, two pairs of camouflage jungle boots and one camouflage hat.
In another operation yesterday, security forces destroyed one bunker at Patleijang and two others at Roudel (TM Kasom) under Litan police station in Ukhrul, said police.
From the sites, security forces recovered one IED weighing around 5 Kg, two pompi guns, two Baofeng radio sets, three 12 bore live cartridges and 12 empty cases of different calibres.
