L Teresa hits unbeaten 89 as PTCC beat FORCE by 37 runs in rain-hit match

IMPHAL, May 30 : L Teresa started with quickfire 89 off 43 balls to help PTCC beat FORCE by 37 runs in a rain-affected Group A match of the ongoing 5th MNCA Women’s Senior One Day Trophy at THAU ground.
PTCC erected a massive total of 198 runs for 8 wickets in 25 overs as Teresa smacked 12 fours and 3 sixes on the way to her unbeaten 89 while RK Linthoi added 33 off 36 balls before rain interrupted the match.
The target was revised to 197 runs in 25 overs and FORCE managed to post 159/7 in reply to go down by 37 runs.
FORCE’s Khadija (3/31) and Wakila Shani (3/36) had earlier shared 6 wickets in the first innings before Mehanaz topscored for the team with a 57-ball 56 followed by Barkatun Khanam (33) and Sumeiya Shahni (22).
For PTCC, Niruka (2/40) and Kh Angoubi (2/16) claimed two wickets apiece.
Teresa, who produced a masterful knock of 89 runs, walked away as the player of the match.
The other Group A match between PCC and Al-Ameen was abandoned due to rain. They shared a point apiece.
