NMFA, ESU win to go top in 65th CC Meet

IMPHAL, May 30 : NMFA and ESU registered wins to respectively climb atop Group D and E tables in the 65th CC Meet today at Mapal Kangjeibung.
In a Group D match, NMFA who beat MIUFC 1-0 in the previous match, sealed their second win on the trot by handing ABA a 2-0 defeat.
Mutum Wanglen earned NMFA a 1-0 lead with his 25th minute strike before his teammate Salam Dhiren netted the second and the final goal in the 62nd minute.
Later in the day, ESU completed their Group E stage sweep with a slender 1-0 win over KNK FC.
The goal that helped ESU finish table toppers came in the form of an own goal by Maibam Thoungamba of KNK FC in the 67th minute of the match.
