TCMDC beat KCC in 1-run thriller, both in quarter-finals

IMPHAL, May 30 : TCMDC beat KCC by 1-run in a thrilling top of the Group C table contest in the 3rd Khomdram Ongbi Hijam Mema Memorial T-20 Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament being underway at Langthabal Public ground.
In a match where both the teams were looking forward to the fourth win, TCMDC won the toss and opted to bat first.
TCMDC were dismissed for 106 runs in 16.1 overs despite Krishna’s 26-ball 39 as Sanjit (3/12), Lenin (2/2), Robertson (2/21) and Chumthao (2/20) of KCC were too good with the bowl.
Chasing 107 for the win, KCC slumped to 105 all out in 16.5 overs despite Robertson making 43 off 45 balls as TCMDC bowling attack led by Sanjit (3/25) proved lethal and lack of coordination among the players proved costly.
Krishna of TCMDC who added highest 39 and picked one wicket was adjudged man of the match.
Earlier in a dead rubber Group A match, UCC beat SNC by 7 wickets.
