CM gives away meritorious awards

IMPHAL, May 31: Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand graced the 26th Meritorious Award Distribution Ceremony for Class X and XII students held at Ngakraba Mandap, Singjamei Chingamathak today.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister encouraged students to work hard and remain dedicated in their pursuit of success.
He emphasized that meaningful and productive utilisation of time is a key habit that enables students to achieve success in their lives.
Highlighting the realities of a modern globalised world, Khemchand stated that it is important for students to focus not only on academics but also to actively participate in skill development programmes.
He also stressed the need for students to remain well-informed and maintain a keen awareness of the day-to-day happenings in the society.
Khemchand appealed to the people of Manipur to encourage dialogue and discussions in resolving issues pertaining to the State, rather than resorting to road blockades and bandhs.
He added that bandhs and blockades directly affect the lives of daily wage earners and educational institutions.
The awards being distributed are for the academic session 2025-2026, for the
Students who have cleared their board exams in 1st Division namely; Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Board of Secondary Education, Manipur (BOSEM) and Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur (COHSEM) were feted at the function.
The function was organised by the Ngakraba Leirak Development Association (NG.L.D.A).
