Women allegedly assaulted, FIR lodged against six

NONEY, May 30 : An FIR has been lodged at Nungba police station against six individuals following an alleged assault on women residents of Tamlok village in Noney district today.
According to a complaint filed with the police, the incident occurred at around 6 am when a group comprising youths from Longmai, Luangchum, Khongsang and nearby villages allegedly entered Tamlok village and created a scene.
The complainant alleged that the group was led by six individuals. Several women were allegedly subjected to physical and mental assault during the incident, and among them were Meingunliu Dangmei and Jinguangliu Dangmei, both residents of Tamlok village. The complainants urged the Officer-in-Charge of Nungba police station to register an FIR and initiate a thorough investigation.
