ANSAM calls emergency session on June 3

SENAPATI, May 31: The All Naga Students Association, Manipur (ANSAM) has called an Emergency Assembly Session on June 3 at Ukhrul district headquarters.
In a circular, ANSAM said the Emergency Assembly Session of the body for the tenure 2024-26 will convene on June 3 at the Ukhrul district headquarters from 11 am.
The emergency session will discuss issues related to the present state of unrest in Manipur, it said, asking former leaders, members of constituent units, sub-ordinate bodies, tribunals and executive council of the association to attend.
Notably ANSAM had earlier served a June 2 deadline to the Government of Manipur to establish the status of the six Naga individuals who were taken captive on May 13 at Leilon Vaiphei village.
