Mema Memorial Veteran T-20 Cricket YWC complete league stage sweep by handing YPHU 59-run defeat

IMPHAL, Jun 9 : YWC, Langthabal thrashed YPHU-W, Lalambung by 59 runs for the four of four Group D victory in the ongoing 3rd Khomdram Ongbi Hijam Mema Devi Memorial T-20 Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament 2026 at Langthabal Public Ground.
YWC chose to bat first and erected a commanding total of 180 runs for the loss of 3 wickets thanks to half century knocks from Prakashmani (60 off 40 balls) and Gojendro (50 not out off 37 balls) before Samananda picked four wickets to restrict YPHU-W to 121/8 in reply.
Dinachandra also added 44 off 20 balls to help YWC post the huge total in the first innings that saw Ponil, Heromen and Bikram claiming a wicket apiece.
In reply, Bikram scored highest 50 off 25 balls before retiring out while Hemanta scored 30 off 23 balls.
Prakashmani and Kumarjit also claimed a wicket apiece for YWC and eventually Prakashmani was named man of the match.
Later in the day, SU, Sagolband beat NCA, Langpok Nambol by 7 wickets to end their Group B campaign with 3 wins.
SU bowled out toss winners NCA for 72 runs in 18.5 overs riding on Pyarlal (4/22), Bedamohon (3/13) and Chingkheinganba (2/2) before Prameshor 34 and Rahul 19 laid the foundation of the successful chase within 8 overs. Dhana (2/13) and Govin (1/14) were among the wickets for NCA in a lost cause. Pyarlal who shone with the ball was declared man of the match.
