65th Thoubal District Level Subroto Mukerjee Football Tournament underway

IMPHAL, Jun 10 : The 65th edition of Thoubal District Level Subroto Mukerjee Football Tournament for U-15 and U-17 Boys kicked off today at Kodompokpi Sports Complex, Wangjing.
As many as 5 teams are taking part in the U-17 Boys’ competition while 4 teams are competing in the U-15 Boys’ competition. Both the competitions are organised in round robin league format.
The opening day saw AG Memorial Academy Charangpat posting two of two wins.
The first match between Royal Academy, Wangjing and Lamding Higher Secondary School ended in a goalless draw before AG Memorial Academy thrashed KM Blooming Hr Sec School.
AG Memorial Academy then romped 6-0 past Khongjom Standard English School for the second win on trot.
In the U-15 boys’ competition opener, Tekcham HS crushed Khongjom Standard English School 4-1.
