Waikhom Mani Girls' College hosts Mission awareness programme

IMPHAL, Jun 11: An awareness programme and quiz competition on the theme "Mission LiFE: Save Energy" was organised at Waikhom Mani Girls' College, Thoubal, as part of the observance of World Environment Day 2026.
The programme was jointly organised by the EIACP Hub, Manipur, Directorate of Environment and Climate Change, Government of Manipur, the college's Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Cell and the Department of Geology.
During the programme, resource person Dr Hijam Pusparani Devi highlighted the importance of energy conservation and renewable energy, while chief guest Dr S Shyamkiran, vice-principal of the college, stressed the need for sustainable lifestyles and environmental responsibility.
Around 75 students and faculty members attended the programme.
