Thoubal Subroto Cup Royal Academy U-17 boys extend unbeaten run to 3 games

IMPHAL, Jun 11 : Royal Academy, Wangjing extended their unbeaten run to three games in the U-17 Boys’ Competition of the 65th District Level Subroto Cup organised by DYASO Thoubal by securing two wins today at Kodompokpi Sports Complex, Wangjing.
Having played out a 0-0 draw with Lamding Hr Secondary School yesterday, Royal Academy thrashed KM Blooming Hr Sec School by 4-1 goals for their first win this morning before getting the better of Khongjom Standard English School by 2-0 goals later in the day.
N Bashudeva (6’) and M Rohit (44’) were on target in Royal Academy’s win over Khongjom Standard English School.
Earlier in the day, K Sanayaima (6’, 35’) scored twice and L Wanglen (15’) and Y Lemba (54’) netted a goal apiece to help Royal Academy beat KM Blooming Hr Sec School, Khangabok by 4-1 goals. The consolation goal for KM Blooming Hr Sec School was scored by Th Ricky in the 32nd minute.
In another match of the day, Khongjom Standard English School beat Lamding Higher Secondary School by 3-1 goals for their first win in two matches.
Ph Yash (4’), S Lanchenba (8’) and Sh Avinash (35’) found the target for the Khongjom school as Y Tomthinnganba (47’) scored the consolation goal for Lamding Hr Sec School.
U-15 Boys
In the U-15 Boys matches staged today, AG Memorial Academy, Charangpat beat New Public Hr Secondary School, Khangabok 1-0 before New Public Hr Secondary School beat Khongjom Standard English School by 2-1 goals later in the evening.
AG Memorial Academy opened their campaign with all three points thanks to T Pamheiba’s 31st minute strike this morning.
Later in the second match, S Vineet (4’) and L Mangal (37’) scored to give New Public Hr Secondary School a 2-1 win over Khongjom Standard English School. L Shitaljit (4’) scored the lone goal for the losing side.
Notably, 5 teams are taking part in the U-17 Boys’ competition and 4 teams are taking part in the U-15 Boys’ competition.
