Rahee UC, USA into 65th CC Meet quarterfinals

IMPHAL, Jun 12 : Rahee UC and USA, Khurai are into the quarterfinals of the Babina Group 65th Sir Churachand Singh KCSI, CBE Memorial Football Tournament 2025-26 with pre-quarter final victories at Mapal Kangjeibung today.
In the third pre-quarterfinal encounter, Rahee UC beat Imphal Youth Football Club (IYFC) by 5-3 goals on penalties after a goalless draw in the regulation time.
Chihammi Kharay, Ngakuimi Ruivah, Moirangthem Manisana, Thuisem Rashadang and Thanwor all found the target during the shoot-out to seal the victory of Rahee UC while only Laishram Roberto, Anjim Ali and Khomdram Bidyasagar converted for IYFC.
Later in the fourth pre-quarter final clash, USA thumped NMFA, Nambol by 2-0 goals courtesy of second half goals coming from Keisham Dingkal (54’) and Thoudam Pravash (90+5’).
ESU, Wangkhei Palace Compound will play RAU, Lairikyengbam Leikai tomorrow in the 5th pre-quarterfinal match from 1 pm before SDC, Samurou take on SU, Sagolband from 3.30 pm in the 6th pre-quarterfinal clash.
