IMPHAL, Jun 12: The All Manipur Christian Organization has expressed strongly condemned the killing of six Naga civilians from Konsakhul village who were abducted from Leilon Vaiphei village on May 13.
The mortal remains of the six Naga men were recovered on June 10. "Among the victims were two Pastors and a Deacon-devoted servants who spent their lives proclaiming the Gospel and promoting peace."
Their tragic deaths have left an indelible wound upon the Christian community and all people of conscience who cherish justice, humanity, and peace, AMCO said, extending condolences to the bereaved families.
"AMCO condemns this barbaric and inhuman atrocity in the strongest terms. Reports of the victims being tortured, mutilated, and dismembered are utterly abhorrent and violate the God-given dignity of human life," it said.

It urged the Government of India and the Government of Manipur to launch an immediate, transparent, and exhaustive investigation into the heinous crime, and bring the perpetrators of the crime to justice.
The Christian organisation also called on all  Churches, CSOs, community leaders, and citizens to unite in prayer and purposeful action for the healing of Manipur.
The Liangmai Baptist Churches Association (LBCA) Manipur too condemned the killing of the six men, and extended condolences to the bereaved families.
It urged the authorities concerned to probe the incident swiftly for bringing the perpetrators to justice, and take measures to protect vulnerable communities from further violence.
