IMPHAL, Jun 13: Several civil bodies have condemned the brutal killing of six Naga men whose mutilated bodies were recovered on June 10 nearly a month after they were abducted from Leilon Vaiphei Kuki village on May 13.
Alleging the involvement of SoO Kuki militant groups in the "barbaric and inhuman" crime, the Chanura Lamchinglel Kangleipak said the Government of India and the State Government must scrap the agreement (SoO) and crackdown on the militant groups, particularly the KNF(P).
Failing to take action against the SoO militants even after the brutal killing of the six men would further embolden them, it said.
The All Manipur Nupi Marup said the Prime Minister's and the Union Minister's failure to condemn the barbaric killing of the six Naga hostages is unfortunate and concerning.
The heinous crime deserves strong condemnations from every section of the society, the Nupi Marup said, demanding actions against all involved, including Kuki militants, to bring about justice.
The Regional Indigenous Forum For Peaceful Coexistence (RIFPCO) Manipur also condemned the killing of the six men and demanded the Government to take strong actions against militant groups, particularly the KNF(P).
