Cong to take hostage killing case to Parliament

IMPHAL, Jun 13 : The Congress party has assured that it will raise the hostage crisis and the subsequent killing of six Naga civilians in captivity in the next Parliament session.
A team of Congress leaders led by the AICC secretary in charge of the North Eastern States Chistopher Tilak and Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee president Okram Ibobi (former Chief Minister) visited Makhan Village in Kangpokpi and met the families of the six Nagas who were abducted from Leilon Vaiphei on May 13 and later found dead on June 10.
According to various reports, their bodies were mutilated, making the identification process difficult.
The victim families are residents of Konsakhul village and are currently taking refuge at Makhan village.
During the visit, the Congress team expressed solidarity with the grieving families and assured them of all possible support from the party.
Christopher Tilak, Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha representing Tamil Nadu, assured that he would raise the issue in the upcoming Parliament session.
The delegation also extended financial assistance to the victim families through the Relief Camp Committee of Makhan village. CWC member Gaikhangam, MPCC working president Victor Keishing, former MLA of Tamei AC Kikhonbou Newmai, MPCC general secretary (organisation) Amir Hussain, general secretary John Pamei, Tamenglong DCC president Adai Phaomei, and secretary Thempuina Ruby among others were among the Congress leaders during the visit.
