Several arrested; arms, ammunition seized

IMPHAL, Jun 13: Security forces recovered huge caches of arms and ammunition from Heirok Part-II and Kakching on June 11.
The items recovered from Heirok Part-II Mayai Leikai include one .32 Pistol with magazine, two SBBLs, 71 livea rounds of ammunition of different calibres, two tear smoke shells, 12 KCP logo stickers, 14 BP plates, one BP jacket and military attires including camouflage shirts, pants, P-caps, shoes and belts, said police.
From Kakching, security forces arrested two alleged cadres of the PLA, identified as Sougaijam Zetison Singh (27) of Khunyai Leikai and Yengkhom Sarjit Singh alias Monba (21) of Paji Leikai on June 11.
From the house of Sougaijam Zetison, security forces recovered one 9mm Pistol with empty magazine, 18 live rounds of ammunition of different calibres, one 12 bore cartridge, four detonators, two remote control devices of IEDs, and one PLA flag/banner, said the police.
One Md Eliyash Khan alias Apik alias Rocky (36) was arrested along with a replica of a 9mm Pistol with which he was threatening and intimidating the general public, said the police.
Md Eliyash Khan hails from Kwakta Khuman Ward Number 8, and was staying at Mantripukhri Friends Colony, Imphal East.
