Sit-in protest staged

IMPHAL, Jun 15 : Students of Srivan Higher Secondary School, Luwangsangbam, Imphal East, staged a sit-in protest today under MSF District Committee Imphal East, led by president Waikhom Sena, general secretary Thoidingjam Robi Khuman, and finance secretary Wahengbam Telheiba. Protesters said the three-year-long unrest in Manipur has severely hit students, curbing free movement, disrupting education, and threatening unity.
They raised slogans such as, “Let us live in freedom”, “Stop killing civilians and children through proxy war”, “We want peace”, “Killing of six civilians by India’s SoO militants is terrorism”, and “Let us pursue our education properly”.
MSF stated it will continue such sit-ins across schools and appealed for public support, teachers’ encouragement, and collective responsibility for Manipur’s future.
