IMPHAL, Jun 15: The incumbent Naga legislators of the State and the United Naga Council (UNC) have urged the Government to declare KNF(P) led by Deputy Chief Minister Nemcha Kipgen’s husband Thangboi Kipgen as a terrorist organization.
The Naga legislators and the UNC held a joint meeting today on the unfolding situation following the discovery of the mutilated bodies of the six villagers of Konsakhul who were abducted by Kukis from Leilon Vaiphei village, Kangpokpi district.
Sources said that the meeting held at the UNC office, Senapati deliberated on the inhuman torture and butchering of the six Naga hostages, its chilling impacts on Naga people and how to prevent such gruesome murders in the future.
The six Naga men were abducted together with their wives before they were separated and the six men were tortured to death.
After the six Naga were tortured to death, their legs, arms and heads were cut off. Later, the arms were cooked and forcibly fed to their wives who were kept blindfolded, said the participants of the meeting.
They observed that nothing can be more cruel and inhuman than forcibly serving/feeding the captured women the flesh of their own husbands.
This extremely barbaric act of murdering the hostages and feeding their flesh to their wives was committed by KNF(P) led by Thangboi Kipgen, the  husband of Deputy Chief Minister Nemcha Kipgen, they said.
Claiming that they have ample proof and evidence that the extremely savage act was carried out by KNF(P), the Naga legislators and the UNC resolved that the Government must declare KNF(P) as a terrorist organization.
The meeting resolved that the mortal remains of the Naga hostages will not be claimed until all the murderers are arrested.
The UNC maintained that their opposition to the creation of Kangpokpi district still stands firm.
Observing that Kangpokpi has been completely dominated by Kukis,  the Naga legislators and the UNC expressed strong apprehension that Kukis will impose their whim and diktats, and delete all Naga villages from the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
They appealed to all concerned to enlist Naga villages of Kangpokpi district under Tamenglong, Ukhrul or Kamjong districts during the SIR process.
They also appealed to the Government to carry out the SIR process for Naga villages of Kangpokpi district from Senapati. The meeting further resolved to launch different modes of agitation in association with other communities of Manipur if the resolutions adopted today are not translated into action at the earliest.
The meeting also vehemently condemned the Government of India’s deafening silence to the murder of Naga hostages and mutilation of their bodies committed with unspeakable savagery.
Apart from UNC leaders, seven Naga MLAs namely; The 7 Naga MLAs included Leishiyo Keishing  (Phungyar AC), Ram Muivah (Ukhrul AC), Khashim Vashum (Chingai AC), Kumo Sha (Karong AC), Losii Dikho (Mao AC), Awangbow Newmai, (Tamei AC) and  Janghemlung Panmei (Tamenglong AC) took part in the meeting.
