Wari Leeba Festival concludes at Khangabok

THOUBAL, Jun 15: The five-day Wari Leeba Festival organised by the Thoubal District Wari Leeba Association concluded on Monday at Khangabok, marking a successful celebration of the traditional art of storytelling. The festival which commenced on June 11, witnessed the participation of 15 Wari Leeba performers from different parts of Thoubal district.
The valedictory function was attended by social activist Jadumani Thokchom, Sangeet Kala Academy, Imphal, advisory member Naba Volcano, New Public Higher Secondary School, Khangabok founder Saikhom Gopal as presidium members. As part of the closing ceremony, certificates were distributed to all participating performers.
