Promoted as Secy of Delhi Assembly

IMPHAL, Jun 17 : In a proud moment for Manipur, native bureaucrat and diplomat Dr Yumnam Arun Kumar took charge as Secretary of the Delhi Legislative Assembly Secretariat yesterday morning.
Before this apex elevation, he served as Director at the Lok Sabha Secretariat, heading the high-profile conference and protocol branch.
He completed his schooling at Air Force School, New Delhi, before earning an M Phil and PhD from Panjab University, focusing on tribal development administration in Manipur.
He also holds a specialization in International Law from Delhi University.
With over two decades of legislative and diplomatic experience, Dr Arun began his career as a Group ‘A’ Officer assisting top Parliamentary panels like the Public Accounts Committee.
As Lok Sabha Director, he managed National protocols, bilateral delegations, and served as an esteemed faculty member for PRIDE.
His diplomatic career includes serving as Deputy Secretary (UNES) in the Ministry of External Affairs.
He has also represented India globally, managing strategic files for the UN General Assembly in New York, the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, UN Women, UNICEF, and the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association in London.
