2 CCpur women held with 2 Kg Morphine

IMPHAL, Jun 17: State police arrested two women, both residents of Chura-chandpur, along with 2 kilo- grams of Morphine on June 15.
The two arrested have been identified as Hoi-neilhing (32) and Chinnei- vah (25), both residents of T Khonomphai village, Churachandpur district, said the police.
While Hoineilhing was arrested from Molnom village in Churachandpur, Chinneivah was arrested from her residence at T Khonomphai, added the police.
The seizure came just days after a major drug bust on June 12, wherein a 28-year-old man identified as Md Farish Khan was arrested along with 17.913 kilograms of heroin worth crores. With the arrest, security forces had also recovered cash amounting to Rs 37,500 from his residence at Sangaiyumpham Nungphou Mamang Leikai, under Thoubal police station.
A day earlier on June 11, police had arrested one Dil Bahadur Chetry (41), a resident of Tinsukia, Assam, along with 412 grams of WY (Methamphetamine) tablets from North AOC area under Imphal police station, Imphal West.
Earlier, on June 10, four individuals including two cops were arrested along with 6.1 Kg of WY tablets in Kangpokpi.
The two cops among the four arrested were identified as Head Constable Md Hafizuddin (42) and Constable Md Zuma Khan (32).
Md Hafizuddin hails from Golapati, and Md Zuma Khan hails from Kshetri Makha Leikai, Imphal East.
The two others arrested were identified as Md Zamir Khan (45) and his wife Samim (36)-- residents of Lilong Haoreibi Makha Leikai. On the same day (June 10), nine persons from Pherzawl district were arrested in Mizoram along with 740 grams of heroin.
