Kakching District Subroto Cup Eureka Academy, Kakching Hr Secondary School win U-15 and U-17 Boys’ titles

IMPHAL, Jun 17 : Eureka Academy, Thounaojam and Kakching Higher Secondary School, Kakching are the U-15 and U-17 Boys’ champions at the 65th Pre Subroto Cup District Level Football Tournament organised by DYASO Kakching at Keirak Playground.
In the 3-team U-17 Boys’ tournament, Kakching Higher Secondary School thumped PR English School 3-0 to win the district title and earned their place in the upcoming State level tournament.
Y Deshkumar (25’), Ronel Moirangthem (45’), and Y Arkelish (50+3’) were on target in Kakching Higher Secondary School’s decisive victory today.
Earlier in the day, PR English School edged out Wabagai Higher Secondary School by 2-1 goals to make it to the final.
Nganthoiba (31’) and Fiddy (36’) scored back to back to set up the 2-1 win for PR English School before H Salainganba netted the consolation goal for Wabagai Higher Secondary School.
U-15 Final
In the U-15 title clash, Eureka Academy, Thounaojam topped Iramdam Maheikol, Langmeidong by 2-1 goals to seal the top honours and the State level tournament berth. First half goals from Bikash Thokchom (9’) and Mani Thounaojam (19’) were more than enough for Eureka Academy as Messi Athokpam scored the consolation goal for Iramdam Maheikol in the 46th minute.
