“Kuki-Zo militants behind Tronglaobi attack”

IMPHAL, Jun 1: An independent enquiry conducted by Langdai Khangsunaha together with five other organisations have concluded that the Tronglaobi attack of April 7 in which two sleeping toddlers were killed was carried out by Kuki-Zo militants.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club here today, the independent enquiry committee’s chairman Soraisam Surendra said that Langdai Khangsunaha formed by organisations, clubs and Meira Paibis operating along Tidim Road from Meitram to Malom constituted a five-member independent enquiry committee to investigate the Tronglaobi attack of April 7, 2026.  
The five members of the committee were drawn from different organisations, he said.
During the course of the investigation, the members visited Tronglaobi, talked with the victims' family and carried out a field study, Surendra said.
After a thorough investigation, the committee filed a report and it concluded that the Tronglaobi attack was carried out by Kuki-Zo militants.
The five members of the independent enquiry committee are Chairman Soraisam Surendra (Resurgent Manipur), Mayanglambam Boby Meitei (PAPPM), Laiphrakpam Boy (Kege Moirang Kendra Apunba Lup), Jurist Ahongshangbam (YPPM) and Khoisnam Bhima (Tara) Devi (Langdai Khangsunaha).
