Arms recovered

IMPHAL, Jun 1 : Security forces recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition from Thinejang and Leimatak area in Churachandpur and Yaolen Chepu in Ukhrul district.
According to a police bulletin issued late last night, security forces recovered one AK 47 rifle with a magazine, two single barrel rifles, one 50mm mortar (country made), two 50mm mortar shells, two HE bombs, 10 live rounds of 7.62mm ammunition (AK 47) and some protective gear from Thinejang and Leimatak area under Churachandpur police station yesterday.
On May 30, four SBBL guns, two SBML guns, 24 pieces of 12 bore live rounds, two pieces of 12 bore empty cases, one empty case of .303 rifle, 22 empty cases of SLR and some items from Yaolen Chepu under Litan police station in Ukhrul.
