Government to reconstruct missing Gazettes

IMPHAL, Jun 2: The Directorate of Printing & Stationery, Government of Manipur is taking up steps to reconstruct missing Gazettes, and inviting claims, objections, and suggestions for the same.
In a circular issued today, the Directorate said while it has been uploading digitised records of Gazettes on websites, certain Gazettes have been found missing from the Directorate's records and could not be uploaded for public access.
While newly recovered Gazettes are being uploaded on the websites from time to time, to  trace and digitise the missing ones, the Directorate is making all out efforts to obtain copies from the Departments/institutions concerned of the Government of Manipur and Government of India, it said.
For cases where only the relevant notifications/orders/memoranda/circulars issued by the Departments/institutions are available, the Directorate will be reconstructing the missing Gazettes for public convenience and to meet legal and procedural requirements.
Such a reconstructed Gazette will be clearly marked as "Reconstructed Gazette" at the top or bottom of the document and will bear the digital signature of the Director, Printing & Stationery, Manipur, certifying their authenticity, it said.
The public and stakeholders may submit their claims, objections, comments, or suggestions regarding the proposed reconstruction of missing Gazettes. Submissions may be furnished to the Directorate by 12 midnight of July 4, 2026 through any of the following modes:
i) Letter addressed to the Director, Directorate of Printing & Stationery, Manipur, Yaiskul Police Lane, Imphal-795001 by Registered Post/Speed Post or delivered by hand,

Communications received after the due date mentioned above will not be entertained, said the Directorate of Printing & Stationery.
Digitized Gazettes are available on websites: https://egazette.mn.gov.in (for the period from 1947 to 2020), https://manipurgovtpress.nic.in (for the period from 2021 to July 31, 2025), and https://egazettemanipur.mn.gov.in (from August 1, 2025 onwards).
