SIR underway in Senapati; DC urges electors to submit enumeration forms

SENAPATI, June 2: Deputy Commissioner of Senapati, Dharun Kumar, has appealed to all eligible electors in the district to submit their enumeration forms within the stipulated period under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls, 2026.
Briefing the media at his office, the Deputy Commissioner said that the Special Intensive Revision is being carried out in all three Assembly Constituencies of the district—47-Karong, 48-Mao and 49-Tadubi—as part of a state-wide exercise directed by the Election Commission of India (ECI). He informed that the qualifying date for the revision is July 1, 2026. Any citizen who attains the age of 18 years on or before the qualifying date, is an ordinary resident of Senapati district and is not disqualified under any law is eligible for enrolment in the electoral roll.
The Deputy Commissioner stated that the primary objective of the SIR is to ensure that all eligible voters are included in the electoral roll and that no eligible elector is left out of the democratic process.
Appealing to village chairmen, secretaries and civil society organisations, Dharun Kumar urged them to actively cooperate with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and encourage residents to submit their enumeration forms without delay.
The enumeration process commenced on May 30 and will continue until June 28, 2026. Electors who have not yet received or collected their forms have been advised to contact their respective BLOs or the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) office.
The Deputy Commissioner also informed that enumeration forms can be downloaded from the Election Commission of India's voter services portal and submitted either to the concerned BLOs or online through the ECI website.
Calling for public cooperation, Dharun Kumar urged all stakeholders and eligible voters to actively participate in the exercise to ensure the successful completion of the revision process and the preparation of an accurate, inclusive and error-free electoral roll for the district.
