AMFA retains 40 players for Sub-Junior Girls’ NFC team preparation

IMPHAL, Jun 19 : The All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) has retained as many as 40 players for the preparation of State Sub-Junior Girls’ team ahead of the National championship 2026-27.
The athletes who have been retained are as follows.
Goalkeepers : Shamurailatpam Jigya Sharma of YWC-L, Mayengbam Lingjel Chanu of MUFA, and Maibam Sanathoi Devi of ICSA;
Defenders : Ahongshangbam Nandeshori of MUFA, Huidrom Kiranbala Chanu of YWC-Th, Soram Hemabati of ESU, Sharungbam Tombi Devi of AMMA, Konthoujam Gunjan of KRYPHSA, I Sanathoi Chanu of YWC-Th, I Yaiphabi of YWC-L, O Ghanapiyari of ESU, A Linthoi Devi of YWC-L, L Chinglembi of FC Imphal, W Lanchenbi of ESU, Th Chinglembi of KRYPHSA, Y Lanleibi Chanu of YWC-L, Kh Nicky of KRYPHSA, and Sh Linthoi Chanu of MUFA;

AMFA informed the players to report at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong on June 25 at 7.30 am.
In a separate memorandum, AMFA urged all district associations who organised junior tournaments to forward 10 players each and junior academies affiliated to AMFA to forward five players each in view of the upcoming Junior Boys’ National Football Championship 2026-27.
AMFA also instructed all women’s teams to forward 10 players each for the upcoming Junior Girls’ National Football Championship 2026-27.
The players should be born between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2012.
The district associations and women’s teams should submit their list of players on or before June 25 along with their birth certificates and Aadhaar cards.
