IMPHAL, Jun 19: The Reformist Students' Front (RSF) has urged the Government to scrap SoO agreement, book KNF(P) leader Thangboi Kipgen in connection with the killing of six abducted Naga men, remove Assam Rifles, and update National Register of Citizens (NRC) with 1951 as the base year.
In a statement, the RSF said Kuki militant organisations under the Suspension of Operations (SoO) pact have flouted the ground rules of the agreement amid the Manipur conflict.
It said the SoO cadres have attacked and killed civilians, and especially the KNF(P) was involved in the abduction and killing of the six Naga men who were abducted from Leilon Vaiphei Kuki village on May 13, claimed the RSF.
As the KNF(P) is a part of the SoO arrangement, the Government of India must also bear the responsibility of the death of the six Naga men, it added.
The leader of the KNF(P), Thangboi Kipgen, who is the husband of Deputy Chief Minister Nemcha Kipgen, must be booked and arrested in connection with the case, it said.
Further, Deputy Chief Minister Nemcha Kipgen must also resign from her post on moral ground, it added.
Also, the Assam Rifles which have operated "biasedly and partially by aiding SoO militants" must be removed from Manipur, it said.
The National Register of Citizens (NRC) must be updated for Manipur with 1951 as the base year for identification and deportation of illegal immigrants, it added.
