4th MNCA Men’s U-19 One Day Trophy Zuned hits unbeaten 67, picks six as RCA register 261-run pre-quarterfinal victory against KCC

IMPHAL, Jun 19 : Zuned scored an unbeaten 67 and picked six wickets to guide RCA, Lilong to a 261-run pre-quarterfinal win over KCC, Kongba Bazar in the 4th MNCA Men’s U-19 One Day Trophy at Khudeiband Lampak today.
RCA raised a remarkable total of 288 runs for 5 wickets in 40 overs riding on half century knocks from Md Alfash (83 off 93 balls; 7 fours), Md Anush (61 off 61 balls; 6 fours and 2 sixes) and Zuned (67 not out off 29 balls; 5 fours and 4 sixes) before Zuned (6/15 in 5.2 overs) and Md Danish Khan (4/12 in 6 overs) bowled out KCC for a paltry total of 27 runs in 11.2 overs.
Niyas Khan picked two (2/65) while three others claimed a wicket apiece for KCC earlier in the first innings before N Sanayai on 8 emerged the highest run getter for the team and 6 others went out on ducks.
Zuned was eventually adjudged player of the match.
The day also saw YWC, Langthabal; PTRC, Patsoi Part IV; and TRAU, Kwakeithel register pre-quarterfinal victories.
At Khangabok Cherapur Public Ground, PTRC bundled out toss winners CRAU, Khamnam Bazar for 91 runs in 24.2 overs and overhauled their total at 93/6 in 23.2 overs to seal the 4 wicket win.
YWC, meanwhile restricted MPA, Thounaojam to 102/9 in 37 overs at Model Hr Sec and Oriental College ground before fighting their way to the target in 35.1 overs with 2 wickets to spare.
TRAU, on the other hand, won the toss and raised a modest total of 201/9 in 40 overs before bundling out ESU, Wangkhei Palace Compound for 140 runs in33.3 overs to seal a 61-run victory.
