MAYOL continues awareness campaign

IMPHAL, Jun 20 : The Manipur Youth League (MAYOL) continued its campaign under the banner "Politics: Vote for National Regeneration" at different places in Imphal today.
Posters encouraging free and fair elections were pasted on passenger vehicles at Wahengbam Leikai, Sagolband and Nagamapal.
MAYOL vice-president Laishram James said the campaign "Politics: Vote for National Regeneration" was launched on January 16 to foster an ethical and healthy electoral culture.
The year-long campaign is reaching the nook and corners of Manipur, advocating for free and fair elections in Manipur, he said.
With the objective to educate people on the importance of electoral politics, MAYOL has launched several initiatives and held meetings and competitions, he added.
MAYOL's poster campaign calls on people to cast their votes without fear and intimidation. It calls on the people to exercise their rights and not sell their votes, James said.
