Committee expresses gratitude

IMPHAL, June 20: The Observance Committee of the 25th Great June Uprising, Unity Day has expressed gratitude to all those who extended support and participated in the commemoration programme of the June Uprising of 2001, held at Kekrupat on June 18. In a statement, the Committee thanked people from different communities, including members of the Bazar community, and the Nepali community, who offered homage to the martyrs who died in the movement to safeguard Manipur.
Moreover, the Committee also appreciated the Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police of Imphal East and Imphal West; artistes; the Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur; Voluntary Help Unit Committee, RIMS; Helping Hand, JNIMS; the Directorate of Environment and Climate Change; Imphal Municipal Corporation; Manipur Archaeology Department; Art and Culture Department; nursing institutions; blood donors; and others who contributed to making the event a success.
