Three arrested with over 1 Kg brown sugar

IMPHAL, Jun 23: In the last 48 hours, security forces arrested three persons in different operations and seized over one kilogram of brown sugar.
A press note released by the police said security arrested one Md Wahidur Rahaman (35) and seized one kilogram of brown sugar yesterday.
Md Wahidur Rahaman hails from Kwakta, Bishnupur district. He was staying at mantripukhri, Imphal East.
Police said Wahidur was arrested from Minuthong, under Porompat police station.
In a separate operation today, police arrested three residents of Lilong Sambrukhong along with 80 grams of brown sugar.
The arrested persons have been identified as Sureiya alias Naha (37), Tamijuddin alias Sanatomba alias Nahatomba (33) and Sarafuddin alias Mamei (31).
