SENAPATI, Jun 24: The Naga Village Guard – Northern Command (NVG-NC) has expressed concern over lack of progress in the investigation into the abduction and killing of six Naga civilians.
In a statement, the NVG-NC stated that the facts surrounding the heinous crime are in the open and very clear that the six Naga men were abducted, tortured and murdered, dismembered by the KNF-P and its collaborators at Leilon Vaiphei village on May 13, 2026. It said the recent security operation conducted at Leilon Vaiphei Village and the KNF-P Ebenezer Camp on June 23 has only increased public frustration as no significant arrests have been made in the case. It said the continued presence of armed Kuki narco-terrorist groups in Naga ancestral land posed a threat to peace and security in the region. The Naga people desire peace but this should not be mistaken for weakness, it said, urging Naga youths to remain alert and vigilant. The Government of India, Government of Manipur and the security agencies must take decisive action and swiftly investigate the case to bring the perpetrators to justice, it added.
