AF vermicompost launched in UKhrul

Ukhrul, Jun 26: Ardent Foundation has launched its nutrient-rich organic manure product, AF Vermicompost, for open marketing in Ukhrul town. The product was formally introduced at UDWJA Press Club, Wino Bazar, Ukhrul.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Rimai Joy, Director of Ardent Foundation said that AF Vermicompost is a product of Zingsho Mapithel CS Ltd, a Farmer Producer Organisation (FPO) under the Ardent Foundation.
He stated that AF Vermicompost is a nutrient-dense organic fertiliser containing essential macronutrients such as Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium, along with micronutrients including Calcium, Magnesium, Iron and Zinc. The organic manure, he added, helps enhance plant growth and can increase crop yield by around 30 per cent on average.
Dr Rimai informed that the AF Vermicompost will be available at local markets at an affordable price of Rs 30 per kg. The product can be purchased from Eden Mark and Multi Care Pharmacy at Phungreitang, Ukhrul.
