Alcohol, beer seized from ‘CoTU vehicle’

IMPHAL, Jun 28: A four-wheeler (Scorpio) painted with ‘CoTU Medical Team’ was found carrying alcohol, beer and many other items.
The vehicle was intercepted by village volunteers at Namdilong this morning.
As the village volunteers checked the vehicle, liquor, beer and a carefully wrapped spray were found inside. The articles found in the vehicle were seized and disposed of, and the vehicle was allowed to go back after issuing a stern warning to its driver.
Meanwhile, trucks transporting rice to different locations including Kang-pokpi were blocked by the villagers of Chawangkining even though they were escorted by security forces.
