Lt Jodha Thongjaomayum felicitated on commissioning into Indian Army

IMPHAL, Jun 28 : Lt Jodha Thongjaomayum was felicitated on his commissioning into the Intelligence Corps of the Indian Army and attachment to the 2nd Battalion, 11th Gorkha Rifles. 
The event, organised by RIMCO & RIMCOLLIAN and RIMC Dehradun Parents Association Manipur, was held at Sangeet Kala Sangam, Khurai Lamlong Bazar.
Retired Deputy Director of Health Dr Heikham Kulla, COHSEM Controller of Examinations Oinam Joy, and retired Headmaster Sarangthem Sanatomba attended as presidium members.
Lt Jodha, son of Thongjaomayum Rosoraj and Naoroibam Chandrabala of Khurai Thoudam Leikai, is the youngest of three siblings. He studied at Tiny Tots’ Unique School, joined Sainik School Imphal in Class 6, and later secured selection to RIMC Dehradun.  
Speaking at the function, Lt Jodha said Manipur has only one vacancy at Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun, with admissions in July and January each semester.
He noted that RIMC, being government funded, provides quality education and a strong foundation for entry into the Army, Air Force, and Navy.  
RIMC Dehradun Parents Association Manipur secretary Kongkham Hemanjoy said students can join RIMC from Class 8. While larger States get two seats, most States have one.
He added that many officers from the institution have retired at the rank of Colonel.  
Lt Jodha was honoured with gifts during the ceremony.
