NFSA cards distributed

IMPHAL, Jun 28 : New NFSA ration cards were distributed to beneficiaries of Khurai Assembly Constituency at a function held at Sajor Leikai Community Hall under the guidance of Khurai AC MLA L Susindro Meitei.
Speaking at the event, the MLA’s wife L Bembem said the process of identifying and preparing cards for eligible beneficiaries without NFSA cards began after the 2022 election.
Staff were engaged to prepare cards, rectify errors, and verify documents, he added.
She noted that any mistakes in the newly issued cards would be corrected through the concerned agents, ensuring beneficiaries face no inconvenience.
Bembem said those who earlier missed entitlements due to lack of cards will now receive their rice quota.
A total of 876 new NFSA cards approved by the department were handed over to beneficiaries. Residents still without cards were asked to approach the MLA’s office for guidance.
MLA’s father L Itocha, BJP Khurai Mandal president L Kananbala Devi, and members of the Central Election Management Committee also attended.
