2nd MR holds blood donation drive for Rashtriya Ekta Diwas

IMPHAL, Jun 28 : The 2nd Battalion Manipur Rifles, in collaboration with Shija Blood Centre & Transfusion Services, organised a voluntary blood donation drive under the theme “Unity in Veins” on June 27 at the battalion premises in Imphal to mark Rashtriya Ekta Diwas 2026.
As per a release issued by Shija Blood Centre, the initiative aimed to promote awareness on voluntary blood donation while reinforcing the values of national integration and humanitarian service inspired by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Personnel of the 2nd Battalion participated enthusiastically, contributing to the life-saving cause and demonstrating strong commitment to social responsibility and community welfare.
Organisers said the drive reflected the spirit of unity, service, and collective responsibility.
They extended appreciation to all donors and supporting staff whose contributions ensured the programme’s success.
