Ayush health camp and awareness programme conducted at Yairipok

THOUBAL, Jun 28: As part of the nationwide Ayushman Arogya Shivir initiative launched by the Government of India to provide integrated, free healthcare and wellness services at the community level, an Ayush health camp-cum-awareness programme was organised on Saturday at Yairipok.
The programme was organised by the Rural Development Foundation, Yairipok Bamol Leikai, in collaboration with the 10-bedded Ayush Wing, Thoubal and Vision Montessori School, Yairipok, under the aegis of the Directorate of Ayush, Lamphelpat and in association with the National Ayush Mission.
During the health camp held at Vision Montessori School, Yairipok Bishnunaha Mayai Leikai, medical officers from the 10-bedded Ayush Wing, Thoubal examined and provided free treatment and medicines to a large number of people, including women and children suffering from various ailments.
The medical team, led by Medical Officer-in-charge Dr Sarita along with Dr Riya, Dr Jenita, Dr Sonika and Dr Mona, attended to the patients and provided necessary healthcare services.
Apart from medical consultations, the programme also featured demonstrations on Yoga.
An awareness session on Yoga highlighting the benefits of Yoga for maintaining physical and mental well-being was also conducted.
A large number of people participated in the event.
